about music classMusic is FUN! We will have a great time each week as we sing, dance, and play musical instruments. We will explore different music cultures throughout the world as well as some music history from composers whose music is still heard today. We will always learn & laugh together as we explore the musical world around us!

Ms. Shealy |
I am Rebecca Shealy and I am thrilled to be teaching your students again this year! I received my bachelor's degree in Music Education from Georgia Southern University in 2009, and graduated with my Master's degree in 2011, also from GSU, in instrumental conducting. I taught middle school band for three years & am excited about the opportunity God has presented me with teaching music to elementary aged students. When I'm not teaching, you can find me running, drinking coffee, trying new recipes, & playing piano and guitar at my church (Compassion Christian)!
"Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our Salvation!" - Psalm 95:1 |
Instruments |
I majored in percussion while I was in college, but I started taking piano lessons when I was 8 years old until I was 17. I started in 6th grade band on the alto saxophone and made the switch to percussion the following year and never looked back. When I was 13 I taught myself how to play the guitar and have been in praise bands ever since. Playing and making music is my passion and an incredible outlet. I hope to instill the love of music and music making in every student who enters my classroom.
